Welcome to the
latest edition of our e-letter for the packaging industry.
In this issue we
are highlighting HACCP and HARM. There is also an announcement
giving the dates of the next Authentica Hygiene Management Skills
Course.
The Authentica HACCP
Workshop,
incorporating Hazard and
Risk Management (HARM*)
BRC and ISO Standards (such as
ISO22000) require the application of HACCP to develop Food Safety
and Hazard and Risk based management systems. Authentica has
long taken a lead in offering pragmatic and practical solutions;
these form the basis of this workshop. A combination of practical
exercises - including shop-floor assessments in your own factory -
and preparation of actual HACCP documentation, assure a successful
outcome.
|
The price of this one day,
on-site, course for your 'HACCP' team, is £900.

The Authentica
'Hygiene Management Skills' Course
Next Available - 20 to 23 January 2009
This three-and-a-half day
certificated course is offered for managers, in
hygiene-sensitive production facilities, working with or
developing systems aligned to one of the British Retail
Consortium Global Standards. It is appropriate for
recently appointed 'designated managers' (as required by the
BRC Global Standards), their deputy and those with more
experience.*
Issue 3 of the BRC/IOP Packaging Standard
("Global Standard for Packaging and
Packaging Materials"), was published this January
and came into effect in July. As well as covering all aspects
of certification requirements, the course deals with the
changes brought about by Issue 3 of the Standard and how these
will affect the industry, including the revised requirements
for hazard and risk analysis leading to a Hazard and Risk
Management (HARM) system.
*Experienced
managers find this course helpful, gaining and sharing
knowledge about changes and developments since their last
formal training.
